An Eternal Seeker

Years ago, when I was just a child growing up in the Hudson Valley of New York, one of my clearest memories was fishing with my dad at the Hudson River. I had just gone along to keep him company. I remember wondering, "What is God?"  

This question arose because I grew up in a family that did not attend church regularly, unlike many of my friends. I envied them for having clear answers from their religion about who God was. So, I asked my father, "Who is God? Where is God? Is He in heaven? What is God? And how do we talk to God?" 

I remember my father telling me, "God is everywhere and in everything. God lives inside you and me. Whenever you need Him, He is there for you." 

This conversation marked the beginning of a lifelong quest to understand not just God and how the universe works, but the biggest question of all: "Why am I here?" I often felt insignificant, normal, and not special. I believed that if only God would tell me what I was here to do, I would just do it, and then my life would be perfect and free of struggle. 

But it's not that easy, and it's not that simple either. Here at Divine Lives, I'll help you find your way using the same tools I learned to make life fulfilling, meaningful, and peaceful. I am here to give you the confidence that you are on the right path and to help you know how to correct your path whenever you veer off track.
